Recuperative thermal oxidizers are used for controlling environmental pollution by decomposing hazardous gases at a high temperature thereby releasing them into the atmosphere. Thermal recuperative oxidizer(TRO) has a two layered heat exchanger within the system, one is primary and other is secondary.The primary heat exchanger preheats the dirty air by recuperating heat from the exiting clean air. This process is performed by a shell and tube heat exchanger or a plate-type exchanger. The same concept is used in secondary layer of heat exchanger but the heated air is either transferred to the other parts of the plant or perhaps back to the process.

Today industries have been increasingly using this catalytic oxidizers that helps in solving environmental and global warming issues. This machinery helps in meeting most stringent air pollution abatement regulations.
